Can I see a product brochure?
Absolutely! We offer a product brochure HERE with more information on ELM FieldSight.
What is a microgrid?
A microgrid is a local energy grid with control capability, which means it can disconnect from the traditional grid and operate autonomously.
How is a microgrid powered?
A microgrid can be powered by distributed generators, batteries, and/or renewable resources like solar panels. Depending on how it’s fueled and how its requirements are managed, a microgrid might run indefinitely.
What key features does ELM Fieldsight offer?
Key features include generation optimization and balancing, increased power reliability, monitoring, alerting and control capability through a single portal accessible on mobile devices or desktop.
Why use a microgrid?
A microgrid not only provides backup for the grid in case of emergencies, but it can also be used to cut costs or connect to a local resource that is too small or unreliable for traditional grid use. A microgrid allows communities to be more energy independent and, in some cases, more environmentally friendly.
Can my ELM MicroGrid make my on-site power source more efficient?
Yes, our FieldSight controller commands the generator to run only when the battery needs to be charged. Rather than running 24/7, your on-site energy source will only need to run for long enough to charge the battery.
